itihaasakGurudwaras.com, A Journey through Sikh History

GURDWARA SACHKHAND SRI HAZUR SAHIB is situated in Distt City Nanded, Mahrashtra. SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI came to this place in Sept 1708. Alongwith GURU SAHIB was Bhai Daya Singh Ji, Bhai Dharam Singh Ji, Mai Bhago Ji and other prominent Sikhs. From here GURU SAHIB sent Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur to Punjab to take revenge from Mughals. One day when GURU SAHIB was sitting at on the bank of River Godavari (GURDWARA SRI NAGINA GHAAT SAHIB), He told that this place was his worship place in ancient times(As Dushat Daman). People requested GURU SAHIB to show them the place where he used to worship. GURU SAHIB shooted an arrow and told people that wherever this arrow will hit, was his place of worship. That arrow hitted at this place where now GURDWARA SACHKHAND SRI HAZUR SAHIB is situated. When this place was dug, few things belonging to GURU SAHIB were found there. Once while diwan was going on GURU SAHIB was attacked by two muslim Soldiers(Gul Khan and Ataula Khan). That wound was stichted by English Doctor and GURU SAHIB was recovering from that. But again while shooting an arrow, that wound got infected again. Sangat requested GURU SAHIB to get it stichted but GURU SAHIB refused to do so. Later when GURU SAHIB told the Sangat that he's about to leave this world, The Sangat asked GURU SAHIB that who will be there next GURU. Then GURU SAHIB told sangat that from now onwards SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB will be their GURU

Finally GURU SAHIB left for his heavenly abode (Parlok Gaman) along with his horse Dilbag on October 7, 1708 here.
