GURDWARA SRI LACHI BER SAHIB is situated in the Amritsar City. Its Situated in the Parikarma campus near Darshani Deori of SRI HARIMANDIR SAHIB. SRI GURU ARJAN DEV JI, The 5th Sikh Guru Used to sit here under this tree and supervise the excavation of the nector tank. Bhai Salho Ji, A Devout Sikh of the GURU SAHIB also used to participate in the voluntary excavation work. In Samvat 1643(1577)
The Brave Warriors Bhai Sukha Singh and Bhai Mehtab Singh tied their steeds with this very tree in 1740 while gone to behead Massa Rangad, A fanatic Mughal, for desecrating the sanctimoniousness by converting it in dancing hall.
For Bearing Small Berries(Fruits) of cardamom size, This tree is known as Lachi Ber.
