GURDWARA SRI MANJI SAHIB is situated in Distt City Nawanshahar. SRI GURU TEGBAHADUR SAHIB JI came here along with Mata Gujari ji, Mata Nanaki Ji, Bhai Kirpal Chand and Bhai Makhan Shah on Dharam Parchar Yatra. GURU SAHIB came here via Amritsar-Taran Taaran-Khadur Sahib- Goindwal- Sultanpur-Kartarpur-jalandhar-Falahi-Phagwara-banga. When sangat came to know about GURU SAHIBs arrival at this place, people started coming from nearby areas. GURU SAHIB used to address Sangat in morning as well as evening. Mata Ji used to prepare Langar herself and served Sangat. GURU SAHIB renamed this place from Niva Shahar to NawanShahar. GURU SAHIB also got a well dug here, which was used to prepare Langar and GURU SAHIB also used to take bath. That Well is still preserved here.
