GURDWARA SRI RANJITGARH SAHIB is situated in Chamkaur Sahib, Distt Ropar. SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI came here while coming back from Kurukshetra. Said Beg and Alif Beg Khan were going towards Lahore. Sikhs fought there first battle of Chamkaur Sahib with Mughals. GURU SAHIB was staying at Kehloor's Raja Ajmer Chand's house. He betrayed GURU SAHIB and asked Mughals to arrest him in return of money. Sikhs fought bravely with them. When Said Beg came front of GURU SAHIB, he go impressed and surrenderd to GURU SAHIB. Alif Beg got angry on Said begs act and attacked GURU SAHIB, but eventually he got killed in battle.
